WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY!

Thousands have been killed, over 1.9 million people have fled their homes, and hundreds of thousands in the Gaza Strip have little-to-no access to basic commodities including food, water, electricity and fuel. Further escalation of the conflict carries the risk of exacerbating an already catastrophic humanitarian situation. Humanitarian access is essential to ensure that aid reaches those most vulnerable, including over one million children living in Gaza.

IOM staff is on the ground, working tirelessly to help provide shelter, emergency supplies, health services, psychosocial support, and cash assistance. We are also helping to evacuate people in need and protect the most vulnerable. In response to the escalation of conflict, IOM is also supporting partners on the ground with much needed humanitarian aid.

Through IOM funding, donations, and donor contributions, IOM has procured and delivered to partners, tens of thousands of medical items and medicines, hygiene and dignity kits, mattresses and bed items. Furthermore, hundreds of thousands of bottles of water have been procured and delivered, along with thousands of tarpaulins and kitchen sets, with more non-food items in the pipeline.

These figures include aid provided in Lebanon, where more than 76,000 people have been internally displaced. IOM staff are on the ground in Lebanon, providing non-food items for winter, psychosocial support, and monitoring displacement.

With no end to the violence in sight, we need to urgently scale up our support to the crisis. IOM stands ready to further support humanitarian efforts, including evacuation of third-country nationals, further provision of shelter, non-food items, health services and psychosocial support, cash assistance, protection of vulnerable groups, and movement support. The situation is fluid, and the needs overview will continue to be revised.
